Lotta good points there, something I disagree with tho...

If they had made a straight up trade Goff for Stafford, I would agree with that. But because the Rams had to throw in multiple 1st round picks and more to get the deal, then everything else that happens with the team has to do with Stafford and Goff.

Any improvements they can't make now with those traded picks, including trading them this year for other positions that might have helped the QB, has to do with this trade.

I do think you're on to something with your research showing that it's really hard to go very far with a mediocre qb on a big contract. And if that's the way it was going to stay in LA then something had to be done eventually.

I just think that judgment was too soon, the price too high, and the player obtained is not the paragon he has suddenly become to some of the fans.
