I really couldn't care less about coaches playing the media game.
Honestly, if McVay had waxed on poetically about all the great things Goff did just before trading him, I'd think he was full of it or a phony.
This isn't like disrespecting Peyton Manning or Brett Favre or something. Goff did some good things at times but he deserved to lose his job as well. He had 1 1/2 really good years for the Rams.
Goff contributed but the successful teams weren't "his". The SB team was all about Gurley. When they put it in Goff's lap, he was not the same QB and not nearly as efficient.
It's probably unfair to Goff that there were so many expectations of him but he was not forced into signing on for that. Maybe he will play better with no expectations on a bad team.
But the Rams paid for and deserve a QB that CAN handle those expectations and pressure.
So many damn good posters on this board that view things from every possible angle with seasoned top level opinions.
The IQ level on the Rams from many on this board is why I joined several years before I moved to Florida.
I don't have to agree on everything mentioned on this board but my open mind allows me to learn and take in other views that make me a better educated Rams fan.
yeah, but truly an odd way of trying to pump up a players value if you're looking to trade him.....
McVay wouldn't make a very good poker player, that's for sure....sometimes it's better to lie especially if you're a lawyer, used car salesman or a head coach
