You see Arians questioned Brady's Decision making AND grit.
That is one example from this past year. You want me to continue?
Some guys can take it and some guys can't.
You can now make your argument that Brady didn't succeed because of that but in spite of that.
And I will counter that Goff didn't fail because of McVay, but because of something missing in Goff's game that even a great coach like McVay couldn't pull out.
But your claim that it doesn't happen is PROVABLY false. PERIOD.
No one ever said "
do not criticize the qb in public."
So far you're not "proving the claim false," instead we're in the normal situation where someone who does not want to hear the regime criticized does not quite hear what the real issue is.
Arians shows respect for Brady. And you will never find a situation where Arians has doubts about keeping him as the starter and the qb does not even realize that until he hears it in public. You will never see him express derision in a way others in this thread noticed too--and for absolute certain whether some guys can take it or not, wouldn't a qb coach KNOW that? He's
supposed to know things like that.
Remember. No one said "the coach should not criticize the qb." That's not the issue. What McVay did in 2020 was very unique in my experience, and that's with having qbs like Banks for goodness sake. I'm far from the only one who sees this stuff.
