Simularities for sure. Both guys ran slower at the combine and it dropped them down the draft board. Branch went from a low first rounder to a mid-2nd rounder. Kinchens from a middle-to-late 2nd rounder to a middle-to-late 3rd rounder. Branch is maybe a better blitzer and tacklet. Kinchens is more of a ball hawk but is plenty physical and solid tackler. I really wanted Branch last year. Hby PSJRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Here's my lift of guys that I think could fall to the slots between 154 & 254. Some of these guys are likely to go before 154 and some between 155-196. But... I think at least 1 of the guys listed below, at each position below, will be available to the Rams with a pick that they have in this draft. Your son may be on to something here. If not, this may be a perfect example of decision making made by a head coach who should be a coordinator. As far a potential trade situation... You would have to think that this was set up ahead of time but it's taking time for other players involved to potentially sign extensions or something. Quoteoldschoolramfan Hope the Rams don't sleep on this guy in their own backyard. Go watch videos.....I watched USC games since I was born.....This guy can play ball, take it the distance and he can catch effortlessly. I like him, too. But, he's got 8 fumbles in 360 college career carries and he's definately got work to do to be trusted in pass protection. I would prefer Estime in a similaby PSJRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree. I would like to see additional draft compensation to teams that have coaches move from one team to another even if it's for a promotion. The idea that there's only compensation for minority coaching hires seems off. How about if one team poaches a coach, that's still under contract, from another team... - Lateral move/title - 7th round pick - Equal move/title - 6th round pick -by PSJRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Let me start by saying I'm happy to be back. I lost my P/W and finally decided to reach out to the admin. Thanks Guys! I think that unless one of the top 3 EDGE guys (Verse, Turner of Latu) or one of the top 3 (Harrison Jr., Nabors, Odunze/Thomas - I consider the last 2 guys 3A & 2B but would prefer what Thomas has to offer.) that the Rams need to look to trade back but not too far (late 1by PSJRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't have any information and haven't heard anything. But, seems like there are far better CB left in the draft than there are at Safety. Rochelle hardly saw the field last season. I'm wondering if maybe the Rams are thinking at using him at Safety in 2023 and beyond? Does anyone know if he was getting any reps in camp or during practice as a Safety? It would make sense that if he was tranby PSJRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I was thinking the same exact thing. Why trade up to just in front of the Rams to get the pick unless you think the Rams are likely to grab Hooker up. I actually wondered if there was someone if the Rams war room sharing information with Detroit. But, I'm a conspiracy theory lover, too. Just seemed fishy to me.by PSJRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteroman18 If this year is setting the table for 2024, which so many say ..."this is a 2 year work in progress"....IF this is true are there not higher grade alternatives coming out next season at the QB position? I don't want a QB off the bat because IMO he won't instill any positive show going into 2024. I can see one in the later rounds, but not off the bat. QuoteDeadpool Really well thought out post. Lots of good stuff to digest and it all makes sense. I get pretty wrapped up in the Rams draft, so I don't get too familiar with the other 31 teams and their needs. So whatever I say about them should be taken with a grain of salt, or 10. Guys, Go pay $4/month for a VPN. Then once the VPN is set up, set it to Mexico and sign up for NFL Game Pass Europe. It's $99.00 (or was last season) to see every game and you get red zone, too. The downside is that you have to log in to the VPN and set for anywhere other than USA or Canada before you log on to Game Pass and you have to have a way to either stream or connect your device dirby PSJRam - RamsFootballFans.com
With all due respect to Deadpool (and I don’t mean that in the cruddy way that some people say that just to follow up with something disrespectful. There's little doubt that DP knows what he's doing and has proven it year after year. I'm certainly a novice as compated to him), I see it a bit differently. 32. Quotekw13 Long post, but I agree. Why are we doing this to them? Hey, we paid you in full, help us sell some tickets while losing for a couple years. I say we move them as well. What to Aaron Donald, Matthew Stafford & Cooper Kupp think about that? A first ballot HOFer, 1 of the top 25 QB's in NFL History and a guy who needs 2 or 3 really good seasons to be a potential HOFer are going to be happy for the next 2 years playing in a situation where losses benefit the longer term success of the team than wins? This board? How about our entire country? Reality doesn't matter any more. It's all about how people "feel" things should be. This draft was done on PFF website. I know they may be more liberal with trades than some of the other mock sites, but I certainly tried to use that to my advantage and hope that something like what's below could work out at least up to the 4th or 5th rounds. I think they should just have a non-televised event that includes the skills challenges and they should allow really good access to the players. How about some fan voted one-on-skills challenges. Or, how about some players calling out other players on some of the challenges? Let the centers throw footballs and the QBs do deadlifts? Moreover, hold the event in a different state every year. I don't think return of Morris as DC is a bad thing. What I think is a bad thing is that he's a commodity that's not hot enough to earn him a HC positon early in the post-season and that's sort of hold the hostage. I get it, it's a courtesy that Morris has earned over the years, but I think the Rams need to draw a line in the sand somewhere, moving forward. Or course, there could already be aby PSJRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Personally, I'm fine if Morris returns and find if he doesn't, provided the Rams don't go hire some college guy as the DC. We did win a super bowl with him as a DC and if the Rams' offense was able to score more points last season, I think the D may have looked better than they did. I know somehow I'm going to be looked at as a racist by some here on this board, but this post is really quite the opposite... As expected, Breece Hall, is taking more and more carries each week as the season progresses. It's becoming a popular concept for Jets players, especially WR to complain about playing time and targets and that could make it easier for Carter to speak up about wanting more touches.
