Simularities for sure. Both guys ran slower at the combine and it dropped them down the draft board.
Branch went from a low first rounder to a mid-2nd rounder. Kinchens from a middle-to-late 2nd rounder to a middle-to-late 3rd rounder.
Branch is maybe a better blitzer and tacklet. Kinchens is more of a ball hawk but is plenty physical and solid tackler.
I really wanted Branch last year. He's a Rams type. Plays bigger, stronger and faster than the numbers say.
Kinchens is the the same way but offers more in the turnover department. He's a football player and the Rams (and me too) like these guys.
If Kinchens pans out, even if it takes a year and proves to be an equal or similar talent as Branch, the Rams got a far better value at the end of the 3rd round as compared to the middle part of the 2nd, where Branch went.
