Not only the ships, or oil rigs (we fly over the Gulf mostly) I also like seeing the shadow the clouds make on the ocean.. it amazes me that these people pay extra for window seats and shut the shade.. The other thing we've noticed, with 100% conviction, is that we always get the window and middle seats.. whoever sits in the aisle seats ALWAYS.. and I MEAN ALWAYS.. falls asleep during takeoff and doesn't wake up until pulling up to the gate.. meaning, no bathroom time for us unless we wake them up

Rule of thumb: if the aisle seat persons gets up for ANY reason, you both also get up and go to the bathroom.. whether you need to, or not.. it will probably be your only opportunity...
