I think the Rams could reasonably move up from the late 1st round to the late 40s overall. Trading the 3rd round comp. pick they get for Holmes plus a 5th could do that. To get higher than that is a steeper price- trading both 3rds could get them up into the first 5-6 picks of the 2nd round. Tough call. I think they'd resist giving up too much to move up given how much they covet picks in the 50-150 overall range. I think they'd prefer a smaller move up.
They have a lot of homework to do for next spring, that's for sure.
Yeah, the odds aren't great but I honestly didn't expect to find that a 1/3 of the league's starting LOT were drafted outside of the 1st round. That's at least a little encouraging to me.
But I actually expect them to fill the 2022 LOT hole with free agency. When is the last time they relied on a rookie at a critical position?
