Yeah. And I think an issue for the Rams is that- while they will have 11 Draft picks going into next spring- 7 of them are day three picks. So the ammo to move up in the Draft from their spot in the 2nd round will still be pretty limited. Assuming they are picking 57th (where they picked last year) or later they could move up- from my estimation- 5 to maybe 10 spots. More than that? Not likely.
One guy I think of when you talk about late 2nd round OT prospects is Ezra Cleveland, who was a guy I liked for the Rams in 2020. Minnesota took him 58th overall- right after we took Van Jefferson. Good prospect, expected to be their LT of the future, etc. But he didn't start until week 6 and when he did it was at RG.
As this article describes they still see him as a LT of the future but for the Rams the point is true that finding a
week 1 LT starter in the late 2nd will be really hard.
I do wonder if they might try to go the Austin Corbett route and trade a pick or two for a guy that's been in the league a couple years who might be getting crowded out or something.
