So one option may be terron armstead. The saints apparently signed ramcyk. I kinda thought they would go the opposite direction but ramcyk is younger. Can they afford both? They also need a qb. Both Winston and hill will both be fas as well. I think its a good chance armsead hits the fa market. And if not I'd favor a trade up as I agree finding a starting lt even in the 2nd can be challenging.
If Armstead actually becomes available AND is interested in the Rams, that's the kind of good luck I am talking about. The reason that one could happen is because the Saints have Ramczyk. It's just not a common thing for a team to have an experienced starting ROT who can shift to LOT. They also have some depth at tackle so they probably already have their new ROT.
Armstead would cost probably as much as Whitworth. But then you have to have a viable, solid and consistent LOT. There's really no way around that.
On top of it, they could still trade up into the 1st and take another OT, this time as a replacement for Hav. If they really luck out they could both sign Armstead and trade up to draft their own Ramczyk, ie. a rare ROT starter who can make the shift to LOT.
