Its interesting, is it not, that the Rams under McVay is the team that "lucked out" with Whitworth then they kind of "lucked out" with Stafford being available.
They also "lucked out" when Baltimore cut a CB named Williams for a guy named Smith and immediately and "luckily" scooped him up.
They also "lucked out" that some really coveted players they let walk like Littleton, Joyner, Fowler, netted high compensatory draft picks and really didn't do squat for their new teams.
They also really "lucked out" that a heretofore little known coach named Staley could take the defense to #1 without any OTAs.
They also really "lucked out" with the injury situation being spared devastating team wide injuries like the team had in pre-McVay years and like the 49ers did last year.
They also really "lucked out" when a guy named Woods became available from Buffalo and seemingly fit perfectly in their system
And of Course, they "lucked out" with Whitworth.
I'm not disputing your overall point about getting a Tackle, but it seems like the Rams have been getting awfully "lucky" since they installed McVay into the organization.
Makes you wonder about the source of all that "luck".
Wow, stlramz. Excellent post, man!
It’s almost like we were looking over each others shoulder in our replies. Talk about a mind-meld. Are you a Vulcan, btw? Lol.
