Thanks for the explanation and I'm on board with all of it.
There has been some discussion about not having Hoecht drop into coverage because he's not particularly good at it, but as you alluded to he almost has to some of the time just so the offense doesn't know who is rushing and who isn't.
That said, there might be ways for Hoecht to participate in pass coverage and not cause as much of an issue as last year. ('Dude and I discussed elsewhere in this thread about having him sit in a short zone rather than try to cover a TE as one way to do that.)
