Doesn't mean you're not right. I do like the mentality of the defensive unit they fielded in the one preseason game we have seen. But the truth is these aren't the starters and the scheme is not cooked up for what opponents do well. So drawing any real conclusions from what we have seen thus far is grasping at straws.
Patience grasshopper. I do think Shula is going to have a quality rush once the starters are on the field, which will benefit him greatly. But there's a long way to go here.
By the way in talking coaches we can see some trends with the different personnel groups by measuring improvement in the depth of the units. OL for example the coaching has obviously been exemplary. WR same. And the secondary also had a lot of depth options stepping up, playing fast, which is a great look for the staff.
Two more games to go. And even then we won't really have an idea on the coordinator performance until things go live week one vs Detroit.
