Definite trend going on there. :thumbsupby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Probably one of the worst histories of TE production in the league tbh. Every time we draft a TE I wonder if he'll be that guy who represents some karma coming back around in our favor lol. Maybe this guy will do that. I am very hopeful. :thumbsupby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Seriously the guy is not out of it by any stretch. He's been making catches and showing well in camp. Stafford likes his big targets. IMO if he continues like he has he might make this roster straight out of camp.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
The guy is ridiculous, all fast and smooth it's like watching vids of a young Jimmy Graham. He's not as big as Jimmy but he's more athletic and just similar in his body control. Honestly at this point I am thinking this guy is gonna be a star. Which might make me look really dumb a few years from now lol. But seriously he looks that good and natural out there. It's crazy how he got to thatby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I really think Center and Blythe were about Jared Goff. Queue up the first game vs the 9ers in week 6 or so and you hear Goff asking Blythe "what did you say? what did you say???" to get the line call. Goff relied upon Blythe to do line calls. This probably prevented Corbett from moving over and replacing the OL's weakest link during the season. Because in spite of him having someby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBerendsenRam “It’s our first day in pads and I want to be out there,” Stafford told reporters after practice. “I want to be out there with these guys, every opportunity I get, whether I’m 100 percent or not. Every opportunity that I get to call, play and run against our defense and with our guys is an opportunity I need to get and I don’t want to waste them. I find it interesting that the right decision was made on Demby as soon as Carberry returned. Also I understand why McVay is excited about getting a new OL Coach in there. He had to be tired of Kromes playing favorites. Well maybe now Kromes has time to have a few brewskies with his boy Demby and reminisce about the good 'ol days. Also made a mental note that they had Anchrum at LT2 spot yeby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Nowadays missing time in camp as a rook is rough man. There's just such a premium on the window now with them constantly shrinking the pad opportunities and time with the coaches. Good thing is he's shown well so far according to the camp guys. And he's also a bit of a rarity on this roster, that being a contested catch type wideout for a new QB who loves throwing guys open and fitting theby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah unfortunately Fish used all that unchecked aggression to squeeze production out of his roster. But this thing with the Giants... The brawl on your own roster. I think it shows a complete and total breakdown of leadership. That is never a good thing.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsDynasty They are basically the same guy but Bob is a little better getting deep and a better history of availability (avoiding injury). I cannot agree with that. Woods is a skilled route runner who can do a bit of everything but he is not in Kupp's class.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Fans who attend camp are going on about him looking great in the offense. He's getting snaps with the ones. He also has a really patient and efficient run style with his decision making, runs behind his pads and isn't easy to bring down. If it wasn't for the fact that we know he's got two bad knees he'd be blowing us out of the water right now, him doing all that as a late round pick. Theby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Is the total lack of control by the staff. Can you imagine that happening in a McVay practice? Yeah. Me neither. If I'm a Giants fan I just think that's a really bad indicator for the head coach and the staff at large. Reflects terrible on everyone tbh.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I've always thought he was a nice fit in this offense. But the cost of going and getting him with what should be a strong draft is probably a bit more than the Rams would want to do. Re: Wolford I do have concern about him running head first into DL and getting injured in his first ten snaps IF we need him. But outside of that lack of self preservation I like his game and what he provides asby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
And in fact when he's removed from this offense boy do we feel it. I think if we have him in this year's playoffs our chances of going all the way increase greatly. But we're also gonna need to solve that run game. We have to have good balance and if we get through the season all pass happy it isn't gonna end well.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay definitely dialed things back. But players matter. When you have a QB who is struggling you're pretty much back to building him up with higher percentage passes and more schemed throws underneath, which is what we saw. Goff was definitely a problem. Receiver quality and matchups were also a problem. Rams went from three deep in being able to challenge DBs to two deep. Reynolds wasby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
So as far as the linemen go (Evans & Lewis) that works in their favor. We do sort of know what they both are btw. Evans showed what he can do and where his weaknesses were in the playoffs last year. Lewis is still just a question of getting off the trainer's table and staying there. Plenty of time left. That said I do think Hopkins is done. But I've thought that after a rookie seasonby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree with your post btw as well. Stafford is going to be one of the best moves this franchise has ever made. But I am not as high on the RB depth chart as you are. The only thing we know about Hendy is that he won't hold up over 17 games and even if he does to my eye he's not at the level of a guy like Akers. Even worse is that Funk, who has shown exceptionally well in camp thus far, has eby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
But even with those things it's really hard in today's league to win without a QB. Defenses are too specialized. They'll load up vs the run and Indy will be a .500 team at best in that window without him. Worst thing here is that the rumors swirling around Eason aren't good. He's the same guy he was before the draft, a slow processor who doesn't see well. But I do think that their HC isby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Is a top of the QB pyramid type of ability. To do it and do it well requires that you have all the other stuff down. What he's doing is showing the Rams what a top QB looks like. And this season is going to show the NFL what a top QB in this offense looks like. I'll just say again that I hope the run game doesn't let us down. Because I don't want to see Stafford throwing for 5k yards evenby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote21Dog it appears to me he's mostly been asked just to secure the ball, not return it. Then McVay and Yarbs need to be kicked in the Jimmy. Kupp is a key piece for the playoffs. They need to realize that. I'm sure they do realize that but if they don't, well, back to the kick in the Jimmy. :thumbsupby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield IMO the people who lack courage are those who focus on themselves only and care less about the health and safety of others. This is why we can't have a damn conversation nowadays about anything. It was a generalization and I include myself in that statement. I've been hiding out like everyone else. I said as a society. We. No victimization necessary here.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
So yes him missing camp will affect that. But what is interesting with him is that usage/scheme matters too. If they plan to line him up on the LOS with block/release type usage he's going to need a lot of time because he's been a WR at the previous level. But if they plan to throw him outside the hash or in the slot and isolate him vs a DB or LB we're going to feel his contributions sooner beby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
And I think it's going to turn here soon. It has to. So I agree with a lot of what you say there. Society sequestered themselves and now they're realizing that there isn't enough immunity in the population. The vax was supposed to be an answer but it's really not. So now we're at that crossroads where we need to bite the bullet and open everything up and let the chips fall where they may.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
That just holds off the inevitable. At some point it's gonna have to work through the population so we can develop that buffer from the young and healthy. What should have happened was keep the old folks and those with weak immune systems indoors and let it run its course. So now we're still gonna have to go through folks getting exposed to it. And NFL players are some of the finest physicaby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Also to some extent it's stuff we have discussed too. But either way an OL being able to run power or trap or zone makes defensive fronts work harder on more prep through the week and focus in less on individual matchups. Back when we ran such heavy zone with Gurley teams could focus in on player flaws and tells in their game. But there's going to be a big difference when you have a front whoby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Too many flaws in there to take it seriously. That site is all about the clicks, and the analysis is rushed. We definitely are worse at TE and RB but the direction taken by both those positions is good. TE short term will dip but long term we're looking at serious improvement and I'm fine with that. RB was all about Akers and the team got stiffed by his injury, that happens. Now how theyby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteStafford9 This offense needs a great running attack to dominate, without one we are barely a .500 team With Stafford at QB and the weapons in this offense as well as the defensive talent on the roster we're gonna win a ton of games. Even without a run game. Regular season is about scoring points, i.e. the passing game. Playoffs is more about being balanced, because if you're not it's goby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsDynasty To me it seemed CJ made the TG3 situation worse. While McSneed were doing everything they could to placate their sour franchise running back, by flooding the air with no comments and Todd is just fine responses. CJ let it slip that Todd's knee was waaaay worse than all the other Rams were letting on. Hindsight it was obvious but at the time the Rams were trying to win a Super Boby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean CJ mashed behind this line and that was with Blythe in the starting five. He mashed. It was some alarming stuff for opposing defenses and in fact helped us get to the big dance that year. So I'd love to know what went down. I'm convinced something happened like that behind the scenes, some kind of exchange at least. It's not like Gurley did anything vs that Patriots front in the Supby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
