Up until that knee gives him probs of course. So right now just hoping he makes it through this season.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I have to assume they put a claim in. Probably won't get him but never know. He is a fit. Physical and should be able to speak the WCO language.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
In what should be a very deep draft by all early accounts. Nice job front office. :thumbsupby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteHornsUpRamily! True, and I did think about that. But I also did notice Haydel picked up the preseason KR duties, and seemed to do okay with it after Raymond Calais went down. If Rams follow 2020's script, that could mean Haydel slots in as an emergency KR role. I could definitely see that. And along those lines here's hoping next year they target returners a bit more in their draft piby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Only Meredith would be a priority to me. Haydel started to show improvement on teams/returns so maybe him too. But these early cuts are usually the "easy" ones so they're probably last in line for that PS where they have to wait and see which of the others slot in there and all that.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Stafford is going to make that kind of impact to this offense. So going 4-2 in division yeah that sounds right. Also 12 wins is not a stretch for us. I think more than that is possible if they show well in division play too. Seattle is going to be interesting. I expect their defense to be better this year, and I expect their offense to be better. Ironically while I don't think theby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
The first is his arm strength. His ball on deep outs floats. He's got "enough" arm strength but what that means is that he can't be late on those types of throws or it's an INT. Guy really has to be careful on deep sideline and you can't ignore those throws because if you do that then you shrink the field and that puts the defense in an advantageous position. Second is his recklesby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam As a young player, Perkins has known exactly 1 NFL offense, and no doubt not the full play book. To go to Denver and have to digest a playbook on the fly as a potential QB2? Despite Lock's issues, I think Lock is a lock. I remember the concern on this board (and from Jourdan) when BEFORE the 1st preseason game, the Rams decided to go with Allen at Center. He's a streaky guy. We saw it last year with him playing like a rookie vs Miami but looking like he had things figured out vs Tampa. So what's really going to be funny with Detroit's 2021 season is Goff winning just enough games to where they're outside that top 1-2 pick range. I'm going to enjoy that at least. Not interested in rooting for that org or any org other than the Rams so why notby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
They've been to us like the old Fisher teams were to Pete Carroll. That division rival team who can beat you up in the trenches and neutralize what you do well. But this year's team should be better at handling that. The QB change is significant there. Stafford is going to threaten their defense big time. We'll still have issues with that defensive front but it won't be one-way like it wasby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Is to mash the ball on the ground. Aligning your front in a 6-1 leaves you open to the run game. In particular it leaves you open to power/duo which the Rams have been running quite a bit of. By the time we're 3 or 4 games into 2021 I doubt any team will be trying to line up defensively in a 6-1 against our offense.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I think he will get better and better as we go forward. He missed some big opportunities in preseason. Looked last game like they had him running north/south even when the wide side was open. I presume it was coaching but either way he has been catching the ball with confidence and good hands just needs to settle a bit with reading the field. He really looks to me like he might be a weaponby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam It's questionable that Perkins can be a reasonable QB2, let alone QB1 on any team. I love the guy, too. But he's in no way ready. He'd be QB3 on Denver. You don't trade for a QB3. Never said he was a starter Rock. Denver's QBs are terrible. Bridgewater is a checkdown artist, very similar to Goff in fact, in my estimation. He's not going to hold up well in that offense. Heby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
It was a crucial piece of the pie he missed out on. Lot of formative snaps and coaching he is not gonna get now. This is why he is getting force fed the ball in those preseason games, it's the hard knocks approach to make up for what he missed. Jefferson last year admitted this offense was a beast to grasp in fullness. That his head was spinning a bit until later on in his rook season. Andby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Perkins can be had for cheap because he's a QB3. But he knows the offense and has developed real nice in his reads. Which is more than I can say about Lock. Shurmur runs the WCO so Perkins wouldn't require much time to learn their nuances. Deal the Rams a late round pick for him, cut Lock, and now you have a depth QB who has been coached up by McVay and company who might help you out when Briby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
That's something that bothered me in that game. I am sure they're going to work on shedding in fact this week in practice. Lot of good in terms of guys standing up their OL but so many of them got locked up and/or lost the ball carrier and they blew right by. So run defense with the depth guys will factor in I think. Hoecht really did look good. But that run defense of his. I honestly dby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Like you would expect an RB3 to show tbh. Didn't dominate but he showed good burst through the hole. Showed good power on short yardage which was something we really lacked prior to the Michel trade. He is going to be a very good RB3 for as long as he can stay healthy. If you wanted to see more than that you have unrealistic expectations for a depth player IMO. It's really cool in fact tby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
17 games and they're gonna get dunked by the Chargers and Chiefs. Good young coach added to the Chargers who will have a nasty defense and who actually has a good QB is gonna make things really hard on Fangio. That's two games that used to be marginal that are now nasty. Even the Raiders might have a better roster tbh. Denver's signal callers are bad. Fangio is in trouble and he knows it,by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
He was almost immediately open for an intermediate TD across the middle but Perkins didn't see him. He then was open on a corner fade but didn't bring it in. And then he caught the TD. Vs the Broncos they approached things similarly, putting him in to juice the offense in the redzone. He was open on a fade once again but the DB had his right arm locked out and he couldn't bring it in. Whby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah I agree with this. You gotta be on the field to contribute. And this roster is deep.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
When your QB distributes the ball and extends drives with his legs it gives you more offensive snaps in preseason and opportunities to evaluate your depth chart. His approach to the preseason will be the model other teams all end up following at some point. Perkins is not as good as Wolford. But he's got something to him. Cuts are gonna be interesting.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAlbaNY_Ram I don't agree with a lot of that but I guess we'll see. One thing I'd like to suggest: the Rams might have drafted 2 DL this year cuz Brock and Fox were leaving. If they were impressed by Robinson, if they felt he would upgrade them over Brock then Brock's departure would not have impacted their thinking.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams first off decide to replace a steady locker room leader in Brock with a DT who has been full of excuses and injuries on why he hasn't played well since his one good season. The guy signs the contract then "oh hey I have a cardiovascular condition." Then he's rumored to want to opt out of the season before the Rams cut a deal with him of some kind and he returns late in the seby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
If he can't go it's gonna be a long time before he sees this kind of opportunity again, if ever. Where there's a big chunk of snaps on a contender open and ready for the taking. I'm disappointed in the guy personally. He's been showing a little here and there and now opportunity is knocking and he can't get off the couch. It's a shame. Happy for Hollins too though. Is that after taking at least 5 vicious shots to his head vs Arizona he immediately did the same thing (i.e. run recklessly) and got himself knocked out of the playoff game at Seattle. I'm I'm McVay and he makes me go to the QB that I benched in the first quarter because he's not smart enough to slide... I'd be upset. Very upset. That would lose a lot of trust with me.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com

Good discussion idea. I'm just hoping we get something resembling a real season lol. Outside of the obvious big time teams... Michigan had an underrated class last year IMO. QuoteRockRam There are good arguments for teams as to why they keep 2, and others 3. And I'm sure the reasons they make those choices vary. For those that keep 3, it could be that they have a 3rd QB they don't want to risk losing. It could be that they have a concern that if QB1 gets hurt for any extended period of time that suddenly they'll have to acquire a back up for what was QB2 if they dby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed they got great value on this move. And with Minshew there's still a chance he can develop into a starter. He's a good backup at the least who might be more. I love Wolfy for the record.
