With Stafford at QB and the weapons in this offense as well as the defensive talent on the roster we're gonna win a ton of games. Even without a run game. Regular season is about scoring points, i.e. the passing game. Playoffs is more about being balanced, because if you're not it's gonna be really hard to win that many games in a row vs the best teams in the league to be the last team standing.
So regardless IMO we're looking at a 10+ win season.
Now all that aside I agree with you that we need a great running attack. Even with Stafford. At the least we need a good run game. They're gonna have time to find it too because of the nature of the regular season. But if they play around too much by placing too much hope in guys who have let them down before (in other words the moment Hendy can't go they better bring someone else in), they do run the risk of coming up short in the playoffs.
Only way we would fail to be a .500 team even with a non-existent run game is if the defense is garbage. Which is possible if our new DC struggles but unlikely.
