So, does one believe that McVay and Snead know what they're doing and can evaluate a player/situation, or does one believe that they are willing to pay a huge price AND misdiagnose the situation? I have no delusions about McVay being perfect but I find it very hard to believe that he would make this big of a move regarding the most important position in football without being pretty sure about Goff.

That's really the bottom line. In order to take the position that Goff was not the primary problem, you would essentially have to believe that McVay and Snead just don't know what they are doing, and that -- despite their being closer to the situation than anybody on the planet -- they can't see what some fans claim to see.

Despite not knowing what the @#$%& they were doing, managed to have 4 winning seasons in a row from a franchise that hadn't sniffed a winning season in nearly two decades.

Which, of course, means most of the credit for winning goes to Goff's excellent play, because he was actually great and the GM and the Coach didn't realize it -- foolishly getting rid of him in a tantrum - - - - which means, of course, he will immediately lift Detroit to a winning season and, the idiots in LA, will struggle with Stat Padford to get to 500 proving, indeed, that the Rams front office made a huge mistake.

What I actually foresee is that Stafford appearance will lift our offense into the Top 5, while Detroit's will get worse -- the main catalyst being the change at QB.
