to clarify, i just meant a live tv broadcast but thanks for the segue:
in the mid/late 60's to the early/mid 70's my dad worked for rheingold beer. which got us lots of free tix to the mets games (plenty of the '69 amazin's which was great) but the for whatever reason it also connected him to free giants tix. somewhere in the early 70's he took me to what i think was my 1st live in stadium nfl game. the giants vs the saints. probably got the tix because no one wanted to see the saints anywhere at the time.
being the snot nosed brat that i was at that time, i was pissy that it wasn't a giants-rams game because my dad knew i was a rams fan by that point having bought me a blue and white rams helmet 2 or 3 years before.
so we go. i had an attitude. giants beat the snot out of the saints as expected but archie was really noticable. did what he could running for his life. always respected him highly after that.
