you seem to want us to believe that mcvay is some sort of belligerent temperamental child who unjustifiably criticized his qb. seems hard to believe, i dont buy it. there is zero evidence of this other than 1 report by thiry. why you would choose to believe that 1 report other than the years of observation is beyond me. its much more likely that mcvay grew frustrated with goff's inconsistency/lack of progress which ultimately lead to the breakup.
I think it was the perfect storm so to speak....if Stafford doesn't become available, Goff is still our QB1 and McVay is going to sink or swim with him....I didn't like the way Goff was treated by McVay and Snead at the end after what that kid has done for this team and community, but that's how they chose to handle it, I'm sure he has heard from some close to him that it wasn't the greatest look
and he is smart enough to realize it
I think McVay is a bit impatient and sees his window closing on this defense and figured getting a 13 year vet with the talent like Stafford is our best chance of winning the Super Bowl, can't really blame him for thinking that and respect the fact that he is going to do what ever it takes to get back to the dance....He knows the pressure this puts him under after making such a bold move and seems to be ok with that. It has to payoff with a ring imo, but that's just me and my own perfectionist impatience....
