It's hard imo to pinpoint what exactly went wrong in this marriage but I do believe Goff can be successful in this league. Maybe he just needs to mature a bit more. Or maybe the trade will light a fire and drive him to be better. It wouldn't be the first time a qb heightens his game after some adversity. But that being said I see how mcvay didn't want to wait around and find out. They have 2 of arguably the best d players in the game under contract for a few more years. The o needs to step up starting with the qb.
