You dont buy mine or other versions of what happened and I don't buy yours. Yours is substantially based on a single story by thirry which NO ONE else has corroborated.

In contrast we have years of observational evidence of seeing mcvay navigate the complexities of the nfl including his past and present relationships with coaches and players which provides zero evidence indicating mcvay to be a bad person or coach.

I'll take the preponderance of evidence over 1 story as my insight into mcvays personality. You choose not to...thats fine with me. I'm not policing you. Post whatever you want.

Further you continue to talk about THE WAY the divorce occurred. IMO thats a non story. I watched both videos and the nastiness you attribute to both mcvay and snead just wasn't there. That's MY opinion. If yours is different again that's fine. But thats YOUR opinion. Not fact.

I was one of the biggest Goff supporters on this board prior to him being drafted and continued to post my support after the 2018 season late season skid and his lackluster play vs the Patriots in the SB.

After I watched the 2019 season several times, I had seen enough. I still held out hope but I raised the white flag after his 2020 season.

I will root for Jared to succeed because he was one of my top 3 all time first round draft picks in the last 30 years.

I don't understand the support & excuses for Goff's issues in 2019 & 2020.

Nobody is going to change my mind unless Stafford looks more of the same in 2021 & 2022. If that happens I will eat my plate of crow.

I was elated the second I heard the Rams traded for Stafford. It still sometimes feels like a dream until I see Stafford do interviews as a Ram or see the OTA pictures with him as our starting QB.

Like you said. Just my opinion. I could end up being wrong but after watching all the games again from 2019 & 2020, I couldnt be more happy with the addition of Stat Padford.

Rob Parker Rips Matthew Stafford: 'Meet Stat Padford'
Former Detroit sports writer Rob Parker rips Matthew Stafford.

FEB 1, 2021
Despite the excitement felt by many in Detroit that former quarterback Matthew Stafford is finally playing on a good football team, he will always have his fair share of critics.

As his career progressed, Detroit's former No. 1 overall draft pick earned the not-so-flattering nickname of "Stat Padford."

It came to represent and diminish his statistical accomplishments that occurred during games in which Detroit was trailing.

Former Detroit sports writer Rob Parker encouraged fans of the Los Angeles Rams to hold off on planning a parade for winning the Lombardi Trophy.

"I call him 'Stat Padford.' If you’re being honest about his career, it fits. People in Motown are in tears -- tears of joy, that is -- that the Lions finally dumped him.

In fact, if COVID-19 wasn’t still gripping folks, there probably would have been a parade down Woodward on Sunday," Parker wrote in his latest column for Deadspin.

"And the people on the Left Coast, and around NFL America, just haven’t watched close enough to know what the Rams are in for."

The reasons critics give are quite valid.

The Lions only made the playoffs on three occasions in his 12 seasons with Detroit, and they went 0-3 as a wild card entrant.

The biggest indictment Parker provides is that from his observations of the NFL, "The top QBs seem to be able to single-handedly win a game on talent alone."

To critics, Stafford never raised his game to that proverbial next level.
