Goff has struggled to mature as a QB since the middle of '18 and McVay has had enough. There are positive plays to be had in this offense and Goff doesn't see them or won't take them. #1 defense, solid to good running game with Akers becoming the workhorse, top 2 RAC WR's in football, much improved OL. Goff still didn't improve. After that KC game, he was lousy in '18, lousy in '19 and lousy in '20. There's nothing left to fix on the offense except the QB that only performs well with top talent at RB, WR & OL.
If he was lousy in '18, why did Snead/McVay sign him to a big contract extension in Sept. 2019? Now they want to cut bait just two years later? Just like they did with Brandon Cooks. Just like they did with Todd Gurley. Snead/McVay are going to get the reputation of being fickle and unstable.
