I was contemplating posting this very thought, but you did it better.
There is no doubt the offense has underperformed these last 2 years. Last year it was easy to pin the blame on Gurley, this year the blame gets pinned on Goff, because who else can be at fault but the highly paid QB. If you take this perspective then it sounds very much like Snead/Mcvay are using Goff as a scapegoat for coaching and personnel mistakes they have made.
