Just in looking at this thread, it seems like the team needs:
1) a top-notch RB;
2) a top-notch C;
3) a top-notch deep threat at WR;
4) a defense that won't collapse in the last two minutes of the game due to sheer exhaustion of repeatedly cleaning up after their turnover-prone QB; and oh yeah,
5) a better play-caller than the one who once had the team scoring 30 points a game.
But the QB?The one who won't go through his progressions? The one who fumbles all the time? The one who acts as though his coaches didn't prep him for zero-pressure defenses? Eh...he's fine.
I'm sorry, but Goff has EARNED the position he finds himself in today.
As with Gurley and Cooks, I've no problem with McSnead recognizing that Goff can't take the team where they want to go. It's not scapegoating...it's accountability.
