the exact opposite of what you just claimed but whatever.
In his role as general manager, Snead partners with Head Coach Sean McVay to direct all personnel decisions for the club. In addition, Snead coordinates all aspects of the club’s football operations with the head coach. He also joins forces with C.O.O/Executive Vice President of Football Operations Kevin Demoff and Vice President, Football & Business Administration Tony Pastoors to direct the team’s business ventures.
If that bio is true, it sounds like his job duties are a bit more expansive than what’s generally discussed and agreed to on this board.
It says he directs personnel decisions, not the personnel department. That is a distinction.
I do believe all the evidence points to the way they function being a collaborative approach as zn has stated. IMO, the directing of personnel decisions likely only comes into play when there is an impasse on personnel matters. In such cases, I think he has final say. Without it, saying you’re a director of personnel decisions is simply untrue.
I see why you say that but "directing decisions" does not mean MAKING them. The way I take that is that he organizes the process and is the one who makes sure things get done. He doesn't show up one day and say "hey Sean your new receiver is Watkins." What he does (and this is from his own description of his own actions) is say "hey Sean we can get Watkins if you want him." Sean says okay, they agree, and Les does all the work making the calls to get it done.
I have some quotations in the post above describing Roseman's powers with the Eagles. They say stuff about Roseman no one anywhere says about Snead.
