MO, just because someone else is willing to "throw" money at player X, it doesn't mean player X is worth it. It just means that "someone else" wanted him more and was able to give more money.
Basically, no one has any idea---and that's ZERO idea---whether or not a player's contract is money "thrown" at them or not.
I mean no one has a list from the Football Gods saying "this is how much player X is actually worth." Claims like that are based on nothing.
So to be honest I take assessments like that as pretty much being just negligible.
I DO know that on 2nd contracts, there's always an annual range, and that that range goes up every year.
So this year, for example, the 2 big 2nd contracts for WRs were in the 16 M range. That's Evans and Watkins. Next year it will be higher. As in all cases, if you're not willing to pay that year's going rate, someone else is.
And that is pretty much all we really know.
Well, I think I am done discussing this with you. You have made your point and I have made mine. No point in going any further. See you in another thread bro.
Goooo Rams!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
