Don't count on Cap continuing to go up
The current network deal lasts through 2022.
So that's 5 seasons anyway.
And of course who drives player contracts? Reportedly KC rushed in at the last minute with a 16 M deal for Watkins, and until they did that, the Rams thought they had him.
***Last Minute? Was there a deadline? I don't recall so please forgive me. I thought the Rams still had time to make an offer better than KC but CHOSE not to.***How is that about the player?
The NFL market is simple. If your don't pay player X this or that amount someone else will.
***IMO, just because someone else is willing to "throw" money at player X, it doesn't mean player X is worth it. It just means that "someone else" wanted him more and was able to give more money. Players get over paid all the time. That might "set the market" but doesn't make it the smart thing to do. Smart teams know when too much is too much regardless of market pricing***...
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
