Happens to all of us from time to time I'd think, to a greater or lesser extent. It sucks and if you have the right stuff then you take that BS and use it as fuel. So nice job by him fighting back and finding his game and cementing his spot with Detroit. But I think he's still got the same weaknesses that forced the Rams to move on from him. In college. The one where he snagged the back end of the ball. I think he is a fantastic fit for this offense. He's one of several options that make me think teams have a ton of deviation from WR4 to WRteens. Have to think he's a guy the Rams have circled on their board, though of course the vatboard sessions with the staff probably figure large in which guy they target. When it comes to wideouts McVay's wheelhouse is mini-TEs. The underneath possession type weapons who are smart and physical but also smooth in and out of their breaks and can break YAC. But he's going to need to figure out that complementary role. He did a good job getting by with Woody, who was a smaller version of the same animal, so if he were to get another of these types with Bowers falby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamdemic I guess I don't get the urgency for wr in the second, especially with our current depth chart. I don't see the impact that a edge, DT, ILB or even RB could provide. A Anias Smith, Coker or Bub Means could be taken in 5th or 6th and provide same impact this year. Where as a top 5 RB taken in the 3 could have a huge impact. And yes I think there is a difference between top 5 and the rby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
That would be something I could get behind. OL would be set for years and QBs would kill to come here the moment Stafford hangs 'em up. Rams would probably be able to play respectable ball even with a rookie back there behind those boys. Problem is it would require Alt to fall a bit. Which is unlikely. Quoteferragamo79 RB round 4 with trade down You have a talent glut of these guys from WR4-15 who seem to slot from that round 1 well into round 2 range. Everyone has different takes on them, but there are a ton of options and maybe enough for the Rams to get their wideout round 2. I'd say it has the best chance to happen of any round, in terms of us taking a WR, for that reason. I could seby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com

I think it is a given that they will at least attempt to take advantage of this class. Also it is a need for us in terms of adding speed and downfield threat to assist our underneath strength with Kupp & Nacua. But the monkey wrench in all this is the question of whether Kupp's medicals are more concerning than anyone has let on. Quotesix2stack I'm in agreement with you. Turner can be moved to RDE and the Rams can look for a bigger, physical presence to play NT. I think Rozeboom is adequate, but a real thumper next to Jones would be ideal. I would like to see the Rams move Hoecht to LDE and draft an EDGE at 19. If anything, Hoecht can be a rotational player on the DL. If I were building a defense, I would prioritiby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Generational talent is a stretch. He's a high quality target over the middle, which is hard to find. Will almost surely be a good player at the least so very high floor and starts quickly. I don't know that he's going to separate deep on NFL corners. Sort of think that part of his game will evaporate in fact. Now maybe his medical is iffy. Will have to be if he makes it to 52. Not like I've seen them so I have no idea, but him falling to 52 feels criminal to me. I'd take him in the teens personally, for the simple reason that his injuries led to him developing in the pocket and some team is going to benefit. And QB is so hard to find. Note I'm not saying the Rams should take him at 19. Ratherby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I concede that being there and seeing how the ball comes out of their hand and how low they can hang it and still get it there on those deep outs are powerful things to witness. But for teams I'd hope it's just a "ok he's got enough arm" block check rather than something that nudges you one way or the other. First it's a one year deal. When you ink a guy who has a history of being hurt, and he's got a contract offseason hanging over his head, I think that can lead to good things. Of course injuries are not something you can control. But it seems like a lot of guys on a one year tend to go all out and play through some of the lesser stuff that might keep them off the field if it were to be a multiby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotenantucketramfan Given the Ram's current draft positions in rounds 1-3, here are four players I'd be very happy with. QuoteRam_Ruler I think the Rams want to be competent on defense but they aren't concerned with being an elite unit. I think that's true in now they spent the money. QuoteRam_Ruler They want their offense to be the identity. It can work, especially if they hit on their draft picks. This is why I don't rule out receiver in round one and I don't rule out them not using their first round pick on an edge either. If we need him vs SF he is guaranteed to have the game of his life. And outside of that we are better now at QB2 than we've been for a very long time. So I am looking forward to seeing him play in preseason and hopefully he plays great so it'll be fresh in the minds of whatever teams lose their QB early in the season. So my preference is to build things that route. If they take DT early then maybe move down a bit and take Fiske, who has the bigger frame to grow into that 5T role. I'd also like to see a dev type later on, to ensure we have enough beef in the pipeline on that side of the ball. I feel like we were a little light in that room last year. Fiske. I hadn't watched very much of the DTs prior to AD retiring. Now that he's gone I've been working through their tape and he's really something. Has good size/length for what we need, he's hard to move, and he's athletic. I think he may be the Rams target. Now that aside I've previously thought several other players were the target. If he survives that run on OT that feels inevitable the Rams undoubtedly consider him. The guy moves well, has smooth feet, and apparently his arms are quite long. So idk how he stacks up vs other options at edge or wideout or corner there. But paying two OGs makes me think the plan is to have a young LT under cost control.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
