Wilson is a higher level talent than we could get midround or later. He can make throws that put him at a certain value level those others can't touch. Not that his arm is strong, but he's capable of using the entire field.
So when you start talking his value at QB3 for a good organization that's where he fits. As a player who can grow and maybe you get his head on right and can tap into that potential. There is of course a ton of risk with a guy who handled things so poorly that his line had t-shirts made for the other QB. So he has to be cheap.
