First it's a one year deal. When you ink a guy who has a history of being hurt, and he's got a contract offseason hanging over his head, I think that can lead to good things. Of course injuries are not something you can control. But it seems like a lot of guys on a one year tend to go all out and play through some of the lesser stuff that might keep them off the field if it were to be a multi year deal, and mentally they seem to often get through it in great form to get that payday.
Second the competition is going to be really beneficial to our young corners. I don't think all our young guys back there are gonna stick, the good ones tend to show you something in that first couple seasons, but he should be a great influence on them and any improvement they see in camp helps us.
Also it doesn't mean they won't take a corner. Just that if things don't line up they're not in dire straits.
