Idk how he didn't at least entertain the idea. I think that was more PR posturing myself. On both sides by the way.
Naw on this it's easy to put 2 and 2 together.
The coach is openly disdainful of the qb to the point of it affecting how many of the team see the qb.
The qb visibly has confidence issues.
The qb says near the end he had no idea the coach was thinking of changing qb (complete lack of communication).
Leaks to the press say the qb and the coach are not seeing the same things. But...why not? The coach was also the qb coach.
Outsiders who saw the team say the coach knew how to tear the qb down but not build him back up. That it was better when the team had a qb coach capable of acting as a buffer between the coach and the qb.
The coach admits he had communication issues.
It's all there.
But they went 10-6 so it did not become this glaring scandal.
It was all there though.
AND as I said from the beginning back when the trade happened, NONE OF THIS will be going on with Stafford. Stafford is not only a good qb, he will be good for McV. I say McV will improve as a head coach with Stafford. I would be stunned if it is otherwise.
