ZN was a stalwart supporter of Goff. He doesn't want to be wrong. I get that.
But I'm with you man. Goff made his bed. And as the seasons move forward that will come into more and more focus.
It's bad posting to try and guess then slam someone's motives, Merlin. It's a way to not listen to people and in fact to dismiss them out of hand, without really hearing. It makes posting personal. Zn is this, Merlin is that, dismiss dismiss.
I supported Goff but I saw his flaws (his biggest was pressing to make plays when he shouldn't have). I am a supporter of McVay but I know a disconnect between coach and qb when I see it and not all of that was on the qb. (I think McV is the 2nd best coach the Rams have had since I started following them starting in the 70s--but I criticized Vermeil too, who I rank first, when I saw something to criticize. McV is not yet a mature coach in handling a team and certain players in all circumstances. I actually expect him to improve.)
I also know when a coach will benefit from a veteran qb. That's why I was fine with the trade from the start. I like Stafford for that very reason. He is going to help McV improve as a coach. (Unless, to use the other side of your double edged sword, you can't see that because you're such a blind follower of McVay you don't think he should improve. That's just a joke, but it serves a purpose. All motives dismissal arguments are double-edged.)
And if you don't agree it's because you're one of those types who eats ice cream for breakfast and that type is never right about anything.
(And yes that joke conveys exactly how I see the motives dismissal style of getting personal.)
