He listens to Stafford, which will help McVay grow. He dictated to Goff in ways that did not help Goff grow (and then blamed Goff). ...
I've seen you make the above two assertions many times. That he didn't listen to Goff and he dictated to Goff. But I've never known where you got that from. What do you base that on?
Everything we ever heard up to and including the fact that at the end of the season, Goff said he had no idea that McV was opening up the qb position. That is complete lack of communication. Plus the fact that the Rams took the disconnect between coach and qb as "lack of player evolution." In 2020 McV was openly disdainful discussing the qb. You do not do that with a qb you're actually communicating with.
Before McV openly said there were communication issues, and Thirry demonstrated it, I was also told that I got the fact that they had communication issues from nowhere.
It's not hard to see these things. Honestly. They're right there right in front of us.
Stafford will be good for McV. That's one of the reasons why I never protested the trade. (Even though some less than insightful people went around saying any criticism of McV was just bitterness over Goff. That's what happens when you DON'T see or listen.)

Lot of opinion there, and a bit light on hard facts, zn.
I don’t want to start a prairie fire or a death match here, but I, too, have seen you state things on this topic that are really more opinion than fact.
For example, ‘Goff said that he had no idea that McVay was opening up the QB position’? Does that statement seem remotely credible to you? I mean, it suggests a lack of situational awareness on Goff’s part that is breathtaking. EVERYBODY and their brother knew that there were fractures and issues between the two of them.
Another thing, ‘lack of communication’ is a 2-way street, not always the fault of the HC. The issues that arose imply that Goff was doing his fair share of non-communication at the very least.
As to McVay being disdainful of Goff? Other than the one presser where McVay said ‘our QB has to do a better job of taking care of the ball’ (A rather obvious thing at the time and very appropriate) and the ‘our QB right now’ comment in the post season final presser, where was McVay being publicly non-supportive? Heck, I thought he bent over backwards to publicly support his QB.
After the trade when McVay was saying that he could have ‘done a better job of communicating’ I took that as polite coachspeak, a McVay trademark.
