I don't understand why Goff shouldn't be criticized. You give the other team 10+ points and you deserve criticism. Just like most of the time, he battles with consistency. Even if you want to dismiss the pick-6, it was Goff's poor decision making that led to the grounding call that took the team out of FG range. The 49ers, right now, aren't a dominant defense. QuoteRam49 He was fantastic tonight aside from that ONE throw :( .....there was one other the 9ers CB dropped, but overall he was fantastic outside and INside the pocket. There were a number of elite throws in this game from #16, blaming him is very shortsighted. He shredded a top defense and particularly the top passing defense!! I can see how it seems that these things would compare and I'm sure it's way beyond what I can understand but putting it in terms I'm familiar with, I don't agree that there's a comparison. Both activities have to do with the brain but a sprinter reacting to a starting gun doesn't seem the same type of function as a QB processing all the variable pieces of information that are happening. It seems that Dallas approached the game from the "force Goff to beat us" angle and it worked. Personally, I didn't like the approach by the Rams where they essentially didn't even try to run but if they saw matchups that dictated pass, it's understandable. In the first quarter it didn't look to me like the o-line was a problem as much as it looked like Goff couldn't accurately throwby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
