Shrugging off a careless turnover leads me to question your objectivity. Goff should not be unfairly criticized, nor should he be absolved of his own mistakes. It was the line, it was the weather, it was the playcalling, now it's his receivers. This wasn't a tipped pass, bad luck type of thing. He had a defender in his face and he forced a throw where he wasn't 100% sure about what his receiver was doing. Sometimes it's better to just eat it.

Are we really suggesting that Robert Woods doesn't know what he's doing?

yours is just as in question mokler….you see the plays your way I see them differently
I don't see why my judgment on these plays is as questionable. You seem to be blaming anyone but Goff on plays that are pretty obviously poor decisions by the QB.

On the pick-6, he had a defender crashing down on him and tried to force a pass to a receiver in traffic. And, he apparently wasn't on the same page as the receiver.

On the pick in the end zone, he threw into double coverage.

He chose to take risks or even made bad decisions and they both wound up as turnovers. I think it far more objective to view those plays under that lens than to assume everyone else except Goff is to blame.

As has been said many times, much of the Rams' offense is predicated on timing, on receivers being where they're supposed to be, and on the QB and receivers reading things the same way and being on the same page in that respect. Goff made what looked like it would have been a very good throw. Woods made the wrong read. That was a throw under pressure, but not an "in-traffic" throw. Every successful QB has to know where to go under pressure. If Woods had made the right play, we'd be rightly admiring of Goff for making that throw. Instead, strangely, you find fault w/Goff for a bad outcome that Goff was in no way responsible for. There's nothing "objective" about that.
Like I said, everyone but Goff is to blame when he makes a mistake. Why are you so sure that it was Woods that read the defense the wrong way? Is there a history of him making similar mistakes? Your whole premise is based on Goff was right and Woods was wrong. Why would you give Goff such a benefit of doubt when so much else illustrates he very likely read it wrong.

Don’t you mean no one but Goff is to blame when a mistake is made?

I do find it amusing that you’re 100% on this. Anytime a mistake is made it’s 100% all on Goff.

And that is an objective observation.
That's not true at all and I defy you to prove it. When a pass hits a receiver in the hands and it pops up in the air and gets intercepted, like Diggs did to Cousins a week ago, that's not the QB's fault. When a turnover prone QB who already has 19 turnovers makes a mistake and it's a choice between the consummate professional WR or him? Yeah, I'm going to blame the guy that has the history of making mistakes.

Since the bye last year, Goff has had issues with making good decisions. That doesn't mean that all or even most of his decisions are bad but he has continually been making them. So it's pretty ludicrous to just assume that he was right and Woods was wrong on that pick-6.

But, to be fair, why don't you list some of the mistakes Goff has made on any of the 19 turnovers? Have any of them been his fault or is it always someone else?

Prove it to whom?

Goff has made plenty of mistakes. But he is not responsible for every mistake.

How about you citing examples of mistakes that weren’t his fault? That would show some objectivity.
I have repeatedly praised his first half and game in general in this thread.

Prove it period. Support your claim. You're suggesting that I'm not objective and have blamed Goff for every turnover he's made. Which is patently untrue. I've given various reasons to support my point of view, I don't feel you've supported what you've said of me.

Yes, I'm probably more critical of Goff than many Rams fans but that doesn't invalidate my view, especially when I give reasons for my criticisms.
