I agree that Goff had a pretty good "game". Great first half. Highest possible grade. Bad third quarter. Not much to speak of in the 4th. Nothing bad though. But because he had a good game doesn't mean the two big mistakes to open the first half should just be written off. In a close game or tougher matchup, those would have likely been killers. That's my main gripe. It's kiby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I was never a Tannehill "fan" per se but I also wasn't a hater. Thought he did some good things in Miami at times. Mainly, he's not being asked to "carry" the Titans. He's a professional QB with starter's skills that, like many QB's would, takes advantage of defenses gearing up to stop Henry and the running game. It's no knock on Tannehill but much like Wilson, I think tby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

While the first half by Goff was so good, the second half was the exact opposite. Inconsistency has been Goff's main problem for a long time now and it reared it's ugly head again last night. Probably because a sack is definitive and a pressure isn't. You can't have a successful play on offense with a sack. You can have a successful play with the QB under pressure if the QB can mitigate the pressure.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm not sure what to think about this. On the one hand, Rivera hasn't had much luck with is personnel, namely a constantly unhealthy Newton. On the other hand, I'm sure ownership's priority was to win with Newton and if Rivera couldn't do that, then he was the man for the job. And, like I said, I hate the puke. But to even be viable as an NFL starting QB at 42 years old is silly. His 18TD/6INT and 88.2 rating is modest compared to his own standards but relatively speaking, that's a pretty solid year for a QB of any age. If the Patriots would sign a WR that wasn't a basket-case and quit hoping that Gronk would save them and just assemble new talent, they'd be just asby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
At 38, he's probably not going to pursue another starting gig. But Jones hasn't exactly proved that Eli was washed up. IMO, just showed that the Giants are not a good team. At 2-8 and with an 84 rating, Jones is pretty much doing what Eli was.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
The Ravens game should be exactly how the Rams are judged. How a team does against the best is pretty much what you hope for. SF stood toe to toe with Baltimore and could have won that game. They lost but they got a good gauge on how well they stack up. The Rams got boat raced. They weren't even competitive. The Ravens aren't some unstoppable juggernaut, they're just on a roll right now. How do you judge that it's his physical decline as opposed to being on an offense that has done little to support him? I don't think we can fairly judge Brady after taking away 3 of his top receiving options. At 42, they should be shielding and supporting him more than ever and this may be the most devoid of talent he's ever had around him on offense.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Brady did put up 3TD and around 300 yards WITHOUT any sort of established talent at receiver. He has lost Gordon, Brown and Gronkowski and is once again being asked to produce with one (old) hand behind his back. I hate that puke but it isn't like "he" is struggling while the rest of the offense is in tip-top shape.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
But Goff, at this point, should consider it a compliment to be compared to Ryan. Dude's an MVP caliber player that has consistently put up good/great numbers. Overall, I'd say the general perception of Ryan is relatively ambivalent or even negative but Goff has a LONG way to go to even be in his class. No one has argued that the o-line has been constantly great for the past 19 games. They have had issues at times. But they haven't been the disaster that you're basing your opinion of Goff on. what struggles did Warner have in the Arena League? The struggles he had in the NFL were due to breaking his hand and not being able to grip the ball. That plagued him from '02 - '06 until he started wearing the diamond handler gloves. Some argue that he just needed time to heal but the evidence doesn't support that idea.
