Thanks for the info, it's the first I've heard of it. Which was my point. Not that I'm dialed into anything but I've been in a lot of these threads discussing the uniforms and it doesn't seem like "the public" was very involved in this.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm certainly curious what kind of polling/data research they did. I never saw an online poll or heard about anything going on at the stadium or in the newspaper. As accessible as KD seems to be, you'd think that a more scientific input than Tweets would have been used. Are we sure he's not just going by the perception he gets from whatever general fan interaction he participates in? I geby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuotePHDram thats the stuff of fairy land. a majority is probably even pushing it. you can however get a plurality. though i suspect that more emphasis was put on the preferences of younger fans. that being said, why would you find that "appalling"? it makes perfect sense for the rams. old timers (which dont agree either btw depending on when you were born) arnet going to switchby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
What might have been? Pete Carroll in 1995/96 to the Rams? He was a very young HC with little experience at that time and there's no way to know what he might have turned out like if he'd never gone back to the college ranks but what if the Rams had lured him to St. Louis and given him a real chance and time to develop as a HC? Would he have replicated the success he had in NE, USC and SEA?by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuotePHDram KD told you explicitly what they did and what the numbers say. the uniforms that you and others are pining for appeal to a specific demographic. thats it. period. the uniforms may be "like" those but it wont be those. No, I don't have to agree and I don't agree. QuoteRamgator The sleeve horns CAN be fattened.I really don't understand how designers aren't able to handle this minor thing. The Rams shoulder horns were an optical illusion but an effective one. Quoteshellback funny to lump Georgia in a different class than Stan, he would sell his kids if he could make money from itI had to let that sink in for a day or two. And I don't think it's true at all. Some city would have come calling with a sweet enough deal to top the joke of a situation in Anaheim. I agree. I have little faith in modern designers and have seen very few examples of newer uniforms eclipsing the timeless designs by those of the past. The XFL is a good example of this. I don't think any of those uniforms look "better" than most NFL uniforms. I'm a bit torn on Zeurlein. Love him because he's a Ram but I admit that his injury history and inconsistency scares. But, it doesn't scare me as much as the though of not having and more so, who would replace him. It isn't exactly the same but kickers are kind of like QB's. The grass often seems greener but when you don't have one, they can be really tough to find.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I apologize I can't find where I originally read it but Angelos was basically why the Rams to Baltimore fell apart. This article is more about other things than the Rams but it talks about how the Orioles owner was tasked by Baltimore to help find the city an NFL franchise. Rams to Baltimore was looking like it would happen but Angelos came in with demands or something and mucked it all uby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought the Baltimore deal soured because of someone from the Orioles? Or the Redskins? Now I can't remember but someone else came in and caused a stink that forced the Rams to find another option. And, let's not forget Rosenbloom. Talk about someone who would do anything for a buck. He's the one who moved the Rams out of "LA" in the first place and was willing to relocate furtby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteramBRO Wondering if that report is a strategic leak in order to get the Chargers to overpay and chew up cap space. I don't believe that David Carr is the worst QB out there. Furthermore, I find it hard to believe that Brady would take Gruden's sideline antics. On top of that, isn't Gruden's system a completely different verbiage than what NE has been running forever with Brady? Quoteferragamo79 Keep in mind many of those QBs you list may not be available. Their contracts are simply up. There is a good chance Brees, Brady and Winston resign with their original teams. QuoteramBRO If San Diego can manage to get Gordon signed (not a sure thing), they could have a solid offense - especially minus the TO's that Rivers had been producing the last couple of seasons. I'm not the biggest fan of Prescott but he's still a quality starter. Brady, Brees, Alex Smith, Philip Rivers, Andy Dalton, Jameis Winston...it's one strange year for available QB's. QuoteRams_81 The positively thing Warner did was get rid of the ball, but that was inside and short and had the defender had known by Bruce tipping it off too soon he had the inside seal and interception. You're making yourself sound very biased. When AW mentions Saffold and Sullivan he's specifically talking about run blocking too. He isn't defending Sullivan as playing well overall and not being replaceable. This whole thread seems to be a strawman argument.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn Quotemoklerman That's the point. Whitworth doesn't say the "only" problem the o-line had was losing Saffold and Sullivan but I agree that that's what it boils down to. I don't. I think the look can still be achieved but they never come close to how it needs to be done. It isn't about the horn tips on the sleeves, it's about the base of the horn that extends down the side. If you skimp on that, it looks weak and wrong. When that's prominent like it should be, it makes the shoulders look broad and imposing.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I would be very happy if they just got the Ferragamo's right but I doubt very much that they stick too closely to what was worn from '73-'99. My "hope" is that they come up with something I really love and hadn't even considered but that isn't my expectation. The current throwbacks are the right colors but totally miss on design. You're probably right. It isn't horrible but still doesn't surpass the Ferragamo's. At least not when they're done right. The one's they've been wearing the last few years weren't actually Ferragamo's, just inspired by them.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

Doesn't seem difficult to believe he was trying to minimize what was done. That's the problem with lying and cheating, once you're caught it can't be assumed that you're telling the truth about your lying and cheating.
