She is given looks under the hood, and shown things, because when the FO says that thus and so is not to be reported on, she doesn't. She is trusted to be honorable.by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
If I was this guy, I'd be embarrassed to put this up. Picking the top 10 or 15 is easy.... every year. But this guy missed so bad on most other guys..... Why? Because they all listen to one another. They decide what names are hot and what names are cold and go with it because that's what everybody else is saying. Mock drafts, and non-NFL lists of player skills are pretty useless exceptby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
The stuff about how much revenue a new stadium brings to a city is as thoroughly debunked as the stupid cost of the Olympics is supposed to be a financial boon to the hosting city. Nope. It will be a multi-decade drag on the economy compared with what revenue it generates. The truth is, it was never about revenue. It was about egos and prestige of local politicians. I've been saying for awhile that there is no reason Stafford can't play until he's 40. His skills have not diminished whatsoever. He's healthy. The weight loss last year had him bouncing around and more mobile than I'm used to seeing him even when he was in Detroit. The guy is an elite QB. So, I'd imagine that what is going on is that there will be more guaranteed money, but it will alsoby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
There is no relation between a player trade and drafting a player.by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Evans is for sure on the bubble. Why, I don't know. But with Rivers in the fold, the Rams just exposed their lack of faith in Evans no matter how they want to spin it. Corum is immediately penciled in as RB2 or they wouldn't have spent a top 100 pick to get him. So, I imagine it'll be spun as Rivers and Evans competing for RB3. I seriously doubt that. Unless Evans is a revelation in camp,by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I enjoy listening to former and current GMs because they tell us the actual way teams look at things. It's fans and draft pundits that get all caught up in draft charts. Sure, the "chart" may play some role, but nowhere near what folks might think. The reality is that teams set values on players according to their need, and how well a certain player might fit that need. I got aby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
He is exactly what 4th and 5th WRs must be: guys who excel on STs. He won't beat out the first 3 or 4 WRs in his rookie year, but who knows. And it is why I just can't see how TuTu fits any longer. The lack of size and STs ability simply makes him a luxury that the Rams roster has not enough use for.by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com

Can't see Tutu making the 53 unless there is an injury or 2 in the WR room. He is simply too limited by his size. And, worst of all, he can't play STs. He is, at best, our 4th WR. 4th WRs need to contribute to STs.by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
The NFL has created a mold for every position that includes height/weight/speed, arm length, flexibility, hand size, and so much more. There are teams (probably most) whose GM, HC and scouts stick closer to that than others. The Rams simply don't much care about it. Snead combines old fashion film watching to see how the player actually plays, plus leading edge stuff to determine such things as gby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I have zero doubt that the minute the Rams got Verse, they were ready to do pretty much whatever it took to get Fiske, which is why they gave up next year's 2nd rounder to get him. The reality is that Verse and Fiske formed a Batman and Robin tandem on the football field. They complemented each other so perfectly and worked in such instinctive unison that my bet is the Rams will scheme to keeby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Not that I don't like the Karty pick, but NFL PATS are harder than college PATS. Ball in the NFL is set on the 15 yard line, vs. college the 3.by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
The only reason to not like giving away next year's 2nd round pick is if Fiske isn't all that the Rams (and I) hope and believe he will be. If he's as good in the NFL as he was at FSU, he's plenty worth the cost in draft capital. If he doesn't? Then yes, there will be regret.by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I guess I'd like to know the basis for this being a home run before any of these players even step to the plate.by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
This stuff of grading drafts in the few days or weeks after they've concluded is ridiculous. All they ever mean is: "They agree with my picks" or "They don't agree with my picks". If one wants to say that, on the surface, a team's draft is logical, fills clear needs, reflects a plan and a strategy, then sure. But then it is pass or fail. It takes a minimum of 1 yearby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Don't think for a second that millionaires don't include taxes and cost of living into their calculations about where to live and work. I suspect that the time is coming quickly that teams in super high tax states like California, New York, and Illinois are going to say that there needs to be an offset in their cap to account for it.... because the players are going to.... especially the reallby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Huddle Report says Fiske is a like a Hurricane when he comes off the ball, and just wrecks plays. Non-stop motor, quick twitch, relentless. They used nearly identical words about AD (in no way saying he's AD2). But, if this translates to the NFL, man have the Rams got 2 get after it guys on the DLine. Turner is another one that just wears you down because he's as fast and furious late in the 4thby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Assuming Corum plays as well in the NFL as at Michigan, the Rams have 2 RBs that have essentially the same skill set and mindset. Since its not often that any NFL RB goes the year without getting dinged up, to have 2 really good guys that are on the same level gives beautiful depth. The Rams can run the same plays with either back. We have to remember that a) this is now a 17 game season (wheby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't buy this and about 90% of the stuff that revolves around the draft. The guys that do this lose a lot of credibility with me.by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
My son says that perhaps this is all about Atlanta drafting Penix with no intention of keeping him, but rather trading him to another team for a couple of premium players. I'll admit, this might be feasible, but I think unless they know of a couple of teams that might be interested, this one is tough to think a team would actually try to pull this off. The bottom line is: if this is NOT whby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
If Atlanta is in a win now mode (as the Rams are), then why draft a guy that won't contribute for at least 2, maybe 3 years, with your top pick? Sorry, this is just bad strategy.by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
He also said that the Rams were looking at QB in round 1. As well as LOT and thought if they did trade up it would be LOT or QB. That never made any sense, nor does it fit the Rams way of doing things. In other words, it's not just his predictions that are off, its his analysis. It simply doesn't fly with Snead's practice, and outright saying it, that they draft for need. But nobody wants to bby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
What the.....???? Atlanta spends a ton of money to sign Cousins and then spends a premium pick of an often injured QB? But, even more, what possible use will Atlanta have for Penix for at least 2, and probably 3 years, other than as a back up? And think about the amount of salary cap those 2 will eat up. Does Atlanta seriously think they have everything necessary to make a Superbowl run aby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I've said in a couple of posts that the ONLY way the Rams take a QB any earlier than round 3 is if Stafford has hinted that this year or next will be his last. By it coming out that Stafford wants more of his salary guaranteed at the back end of his deal tells me he has no intention of retiring soon. So......the Rams may not draft a QB at all (I would, but I'm doubtful they will). And, roby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think the Rams can get him at 52. But, who knows. Would it be worth it if they could trade up to perhaps 34 or 35? It would take their first 3rd round pick to do so, providing there's a trading partner. But the fact that he fell out of the 1st round indicates to me that teams weren't as high on him as fans and mocks had him. Or maybe its just bad luck that 6 QBs went, and then a bunchby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Sorry, Jake, but you are no football prophet. You're supposed inside info is really inside your own head. I just don't listen to guys who make the claims he makes that rarely pan out. But, that doesn't stop him from making more. Want honest, actual reporting and real world scenarios and not a bunch of fantasy guarantees that never seem to happen? Then read Jourdan Rodrigue and Stu Jackson.by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
To me, this is more good news than bad. I doubt he's asking for MORE money, just making it guaranteed. He sure wouldn't be doing that if he planned on retiring soon.by RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
For me I think the top 2 Edges were Latu then Verse. Nothing against Turner, I just think for the Rams those first two fit better. The only problem with Latu is the neck thing. It may never be a problem, but it cannot be dismissed. Both have high floors and high ceilings. They are lunch pail guys that bring it every down from the 1st to the last snap. Looking around at what guys that have plaby RockRam - RamsFootballFans.com
