I've said in a couple of posts that the ONLY way the Rams take a QB any earlier than round 3 is if Stafford has hinted that this year or next will be his last.
By it coming out that Stafford wants more of his salary guaranteed at the back end of his deal tells me he has no intention of retiring soon.
So......the Rams may not draft a QB at all (I would, but I'm doubtful they will).
And, round 1 will tell us whether the draft's goal is to improve the D, or to further elevate an already really good O. Question has been answered. The Rams are going to go heavy D in the first 3 rounds. I predict 3 of the 4 picks will be D, maybe even all 4.
