Assuming Corum plays as well in the NFL as at Michigan, the Rams have 2 RBs that have essentially the same skill set and mindset. Since its not often that any NFL RB goes the year without getting dinged up, to have 2 really good guys that are on the same level gives beautiful depth. The Rams can run the same plays with either back.
We have to remember that a) this is now a 17 game season (whew!), and b) the Rams are planning on a 20 game season. So, we shouldn't overlook the value of having RB2 that after this year will probably be RB1b, it allows the RBs to remain fresh in-game. And, adding him to the room with Rivers gives the Rams a really good, deep, young RB room that is inexpensive.
