I was looking around online last night and stumbled upon a 2014 Toyota Camry LE at a local dealership and the listing showed it had 23,000 miles.
I thought, this has got to be a mistake. I sent in an online inquiry at 11:00 pm and somebody from the dealership responded right away. The lady said, "I hope you're still awake". She asked me what questions I had and I said, "I just have one right now. Is that car still available?". She had no idea since the dealership was closed at that hour.
I got up this morning early, got dressed and decided I'd take a chance and drive to the dealership to be there when they opened. I told a salesman what I had seen online and asked if the 2014 Toyota Camry was still available. He left me alone for about 15 minutes, came back, and then pointed outside to the car which he had found and driven up to the door. It was still there?? I couldn't believe it. I test drove it and I was sold. I asked him how in the world an 8-year old car could have such low miles and be in such good condition. The car had belonged to an old lady who was retired and she passed away. She had purchased the car from that dealership and after she died, her kids sold it back to them. They just got the car in last Saturday. They said it takes about 4 days after they get a car in before they post the listing online. I must have found the listing right after they posted it. It hasn't even been cleaned up and detailed yet. I checked the CarFax and the car has never been wrecked and has only had one owner. It's a dark grey with a black interior. It looks like it's been very well maintained.
Lucky for me, nobody had snatched it up yet so I pounced and bought it. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. We will pick it up Saturday. Mark hasn't seen it yet in person. All he has seen is the attached photo. But, he's relieved and happy to have a car. .
