I don't think he'll end up being a feature back this year. What's more? They don't have to have a feature back. A couple of years ago the 49ers had the best rushing attack, went to the SB, and used a committee of 4-5 backs. Most were productive because of a great scheme and above average OL.
True, but does that 49ers team stand out because it was unusual or is it a formula any team can depend on replicating?
The committee approach is possible but I don't know that it is so viable that you can just plug any trio of RB's into an offense and succeed with it. The bell cow RB is a thing of the past but I still think that there needs to be a feature back for the offense to revolve around. A defense needs to respect the running game and I'm not sure Henderson and Co. will provide that.
