I know that the teams ST are made up of the lower half of the roster for the most part, rookies FA signees, etc. , but that Coordinator has a say in what type of guys he's looking for, I would assume.
He certainly had a big say in who our new kicker would be and look what he chose to choose from....finally seemed to have hit on Matt, but we heard the stories about Johnny making the push for him. I have also seen a good sized drop in Hekkers' distance with punts as well. Add in the fact that the coverage team is just plain not reliable, the other team can go big any time. Add to that our return game which save for like 3 times they have been terrible in getting us any position.
It just looks like his plan is either set up poorly, he can't translate to his players, or he can't develop anyone/improve anyone. We all kinda know he's gone, won't be too soon for me.
