I don't think we can downplay the offensive personnel that we lost from 2018 to today. Along with the deterioration and release of Gurley and Cooks we also lost Saffold and Sullivan as well as Zack Taylor. We have yet to find equal replacements for any of those three.
I mentioned previously that I would take an C at our #2 pick, and I'd pair him with a vet free agent (Someone like Alex Mack or Ben Garland). Many laughed at Dallas drafting Travis Fredrick in 2013 and he went on to anchor an outstanding OL. A solid middle man should elevate the play of the OG's next to him. Outside of maybe a big play WR I can't think of a position that we need more. And how can you throw deep when your QB isn't comfortable behind his line?
