Count me among those who feel that Goff isn't horrible but he isn't in the same conversation as Mahomes. It certainly challenges objectivity to state that one would take Goff over any other QB in the league.
Bias is certainly understandable but it would be nice if people could put that aside without feeling traitorous. Aside from the numbers, which I feel clearly illustrate that Goff has struggled and regressed, the hypothetical question I often ask myself is how would someone else do in a particular player's place? I think there is a substantial list of QB's who would be able to replicate or exceed what Goff has done the last couple of years.
There just hasn't been a whole lot that he's done the last 20+ games that other QB's couldn't also do. That is a very poor value for what the Rams paid. Goff needs to have a big bounce back year this year.
