I think that there is a new trend among top tier players and their agents to reject extensions and conduct an auction the following year for their services because each year the cap goes up. They’re simply milking the system. Lol.For me this sums up Trumaine's last couple of years with the Rams. He ended up getting more guaranteed money over his two franchised years, than he ever would've gotten in the first 2 years of a new contract, and he still got that big new contract on the other side. And I don't hold it against him for what its worth, he got his. Sure it would've been nice if he took a bit of a hometown discount after making all that money, but I knew it wasn't going to happen.
