I'm not saying they shouldn't run, but I don't know that rushing for 100+ is really an indicator of winning against them. They've had 7 games giving up 100+ and won 5 and lost 2. Considering one of those was without Murray and Hopkins, I think it's difficult to say that it was primarily that they gave up rushing yards. Even the "close" games criteria is still 3/4 and it still muddiesby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamstien To beat the Cards the Rams must run the ball to eat clock while keeping Murray and company off the field. The Cards appear to be suspect on defense, at stopping the run. The Rams could put the blueprint out there for the league on how to beat the Cards. The Cardinals have given up 150+ rushing yards 5 times this year, so teams are exploiting that. QuoteLMU93 Totally understand that. You're right, it would be risky. I guess I would not be opposed to bringing Michel back if the number was modest. Considering they think Akers has a chance to play in January perhaps counting on him for 2022 isn't as much of a stretch. Henderson is a quality RB2.Not sure if we'll be able to keep all 3 of them but that would probably be the best way to go. I doby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRamstien Quoteoldschoolramfan I just think Michel is a very solid, dependable RB...He always moves the pile forward and breaks tackles. Solid at catching the ball out of the backfield as well. Remember CJ Anderson? Nothing fancy...But, he just kept moving the sticks! No long 75 yd TD runs, but I'll take 6-7 yds and a cloud of dust. That's what Michel does for this Ram team. QuoteLMU93 If Michel finishes strong down the stretch, lets say 800-850 yards rushing and shows well in the playoffs, he will get a pretty good payday somewhere. And I would be just fine going into 2022 with Akers, Henderson, Calais and Funk. Plus maybe draft a RB on day 3 like you really should every year.Do we really want to rely on Akers and Henderson as the primary backs as plan A? That sounby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
You're right, if you think Goff is cute or he's your cousin, you're going to have emotional feelings toward him that goes beyond football. I'm speaking strictly about on the field. And on the field, Goff was not living up to his cost. Which, even that would be tolerable to some degree if he was progressing. But at the end of the day, the Rams paid a crap-ton of capitol to develop this guyby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't disagree "that" one has an emotional attachment. I disagree with "why". I don't think Goff earned that kind of devotion. As far as him costing the Rams, I think you're twisting yourself into knots to try and argue that he didn't. All the picks it took to get him, the money it cost to re-sign him and all the picks it took to get rid of him were far too hefty forby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRustyRay Have been skewed by the turnovers by the O. 3 pick sixes, fumbles and short fields all skew that stat. The defense had them last year too, so I don't think it skews it enough to explain it away.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
You can deep dive on stats all you want, but I think it's just deceiving you. Part of the problem being, context. Sacks for example. Total number of sacks is easily skewed when you're on the field for so many more plays. The Rams are 4 points worse per game on defense under Morris. That's the only stat that matters. QuoteRamstien I have been wondering, do the slow starts on offense have more to do with Stafford or McVay?Stafford. But, McVay could help things more. As good as Stafford can be, he's got an issue in the first quarters of games. IMO, they need to be giving him the Goff treatment and giving him REALLY easy throws and reads until he loosens up. QuoteRamgator #1. I simply hate staying up that late. #2. MNF lost its Mojo YEARS ago. Call me crazy but if given the choice of MNF games to watch on Youtube, I'd pick the Rams 1980 win over Dallas over the KC game in 2018. For me... I MUCH rather see the Rams at 4:20 EST. WHEN the Rams win, it gives me a few hours to savor and enjoy. MNF?? It's 12:15 AM and almost 3 hours past my bed time.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm just as pleased with the end results last weekend but I think it has to be taken with a huge grain of salt. Unfortunately, having a running game against the Jaguars is a unique situation. They have no offense or defense. You can afford to keep running against their less than dominant defense because they're not going to score any points. But it is a defense of him. You don't want him fired. Others do. You feel he doesn't deserve it but that's only your criteria. It's just a matter of perspective.
