He takes what other teams AND Mother Nature gives him. Pats threw THREE passes last night and won in Buffalo. I wish McVay would realize that there is nothing wrong with 14 to 10 wins. HECK...The Rams John Robinson....Remember when we beat the Montana led Niners 10 to 7 , in 1983??
I agree that McVay could be more flexible and adaptive depending on the situation but Robinson isn't exactly a good example of that. He was one of the most stubborn and one dimensional coaches we've ever had.
Which is Billicheat's greatest attribute as you say. Not only is he willing to do it, he will use something until it doesn't work. It drives me crazy when a team is running the ball down someone's throat and then decides to abandon it for some reason? Like, we had 10 plays in a row of 5+ yard runs. We better stop, they'll "probably" guard against it next time. WTF!?! Ol' Bill will do it until you PROVE you can stop it. Otherwise, he'll just keep ramming it down your pie hole.
Hate that SOB, but he does deserve credit in some ways.
