So you're telling me you see the Rams copying TB's defense when ours was better ranked?
It seems you want to dismiss this year's #1 ranking but the Rams defenses have been strong for the last several years. In 2018 the Rams had a very strong defense that helped them get to the SB. The ILBs on that team were UDFAs. We've spent almost no resources in draft picks or money on ILBs for the last 5 years and have still managed to have very good defenses.
Why move away from a formula that's clearly working?
