Look. Every team would prefer to have an All-Pro at every position. What? That's not possible? Then you must meld system and players to come up with the best solution FOR YOUR TEAM.
If you say everything is of equal importance then it means you don't have a system.
The Rams have made a decision that in the Defense system they run, their overall priority is to defense the pass over the run. Of course you have to defense the run, too, but the Rams spend more heavily on pass rushers. One reason they just love Floyd is because he does both very well. So does Ramsey. So does Donald.
So: it also follows for ILBs. They look for guys to defense the pass over the run..... to a point.
But when it comes to spending money, ILB is low man on the totem pole. And apparently low man on the draft needs list.
