Well Holmes is a good hire. If you actually look into the Campbell hire, and forget about the famous press conference sound byte, he's a promising one too. Lynn is a good hire. They're getting praise for their assistant coaches. They clearly wanted Goff because they turned down a top 10 2021 1st round pick to take Goff instead. Holmes of course knows Goff and was in on drafting him. They have 2 good first rounders on the OL at center at LOT and so that's a start anyway. I am not so sure the news is so bad there.

As of June 2020 they have new ownership. I am not at all sure they have the same situation. And all the signs are they know who Goff is and intend to start him.

In terms of the Rams and Stafford, yes the Rams have to work on the OL too, but we've never seen a qb like Stafford. I think that McVay showed impatience and I think Goff could have rebounded from this year (this is not a Wentz situation we're talking about) BUT I don't think this will bite McVay because Stafford is that good a pick-up.

But they were not held back in 2020 by qb play alone so if they want to advance, they have to fix some other things too.
